For as long as I remember, I have committed to two things: letting my imagination wander and telling stories. And since I could write, I have written stories, predominantly about animals, nature, death, and joy. I was blessed early by a father that never shunned my fascination with the macabre, and encouraged my literary journey by giving me Edgar Allan Poe and H.G. Wells at age 11. His love of books was infectious, and I became obsessed.

At the heart of my writing, is a desire to inspire and propel others forward in their journey with God. Life is wild and beautiful, and the sooner we embrace that wild, the more we will enjoy it.

While I write to inspire, I ofttimes find myself writing for sanity’s sake; and the sake of discovery. So I have no apologies for what may one day be what I heartily believe, only to discern error in it another day. But I exclusively write what I believe God is telling me and not what I (or someone else) want said. And because of that, I just as often delete what I’ve penned until the correct moment.

My professional background is an eclectic array, including pastor, teacher, technical director, musician, songwriter, music producer, graphic designer, and cook, all of which have inspired my stories. I am currently a homeschool teacher and farmer, living on a small homestead with my incredible, talented bride and three wonderful children in Rogersville, Tennessee.
